MSC1601 is a scanner composed of chain links, magnetic carts, and clamping devices. Through the combination and assembly of various components, it can ensure that the scanner moves upward along the circumference of the pipe without deviation, ensuring the implementation of ultrasonic phased array or TOFD technology. It can provide a solution for circumferential welding and corrosion detection of carbon steel pipes or stainless steel pipes over 2.5 inches.

Functional features:

• The applicable pipe diameter is 2.5 inches or more;

• Single axis or dual axis encoding manual scanning;

• Ergonomic handle;

• Simple clamping device, fast scanning and positioning;

• Spring loaded probes ensure good contact in any position or direction;

• The resolution of the circumferential encoder is 36 steps/mm, and the resolution of the axial encoder is 999 steps/mm;

• Provide single-sided single probe detection method or single-sided dual probe detection method for welds;

• The encoder can be directly applied to OMNISCAN instruments using DB interface or LEMO interface, and can also be customized for mainstream phased array instruments such as FocusLT, Dynaray, MultiX, Prisma UT, etc.
